The Snake Without A Hiss by Steve Goss

Albert is a snake with no hiss. His siblings make fun of him because he has no hiss. When Albert tries to hiss it comes out as a whisper.



Albert goes to the deer sisters trying to scare them and they ignore him. He is a snake with no hiss how can that be scary? He further tries to scare the rabbit, porcupine, skunk, and a hen with no success. His siblings have to scare away the animals and make fun of poor Albert after.

Alberts siblings continue to make fun of him when suddenly he gets so mad that when he yells "STOP! Thissss isss not funny anymore!" Albert gets really tall and then his siblings fall silent. Albert has gotten his hiss and a promise from his siblings to never tease him again.

I thought the book was great! Kids will definitely love this book and it's perfect for the younger reader. The illustrations were very awesome!
